The 2026 Provincial Atlantic Salmon Symposia will be held in two locations.

The Nova Scotia Atlantic Salmon Symposium will be held March 10-11, 2026, at the Inn on Prince Hotel & Convention Centre in Truro, Nova Scotia.

The New Brunswick Atlantic Salmon Symposium will be held March 12-13, 2026, at the Convention Center in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

2026 Provincial Atlantic Salmon Symposia are a follow-up to the first round of provincial symposia that took place in 2022-2023.

A goal of the symposia is to foster insightful discussions that are aligned with Canada’s National Strategy for the future of Atlantic Salmon (“Strategy”).

These gatherings bring together leaders from the salmon community such as conservation groups, governments, academia, and Indigenous organizations.

The workshops will include sessions where stakeholders can share insights, explore emerging trends, foster meaningful collaboration, and discover networking opportunities.

This event will be co-hosted by FCAS and the Nova Scotia Salmon Association (NSSA).

The 2026 Symposium will be co-hosted by FCAS and the New Brunswick Salmon Council.

Organizations

The Foundation for Conservation of Atlantic Salmon (FCAS) provide effective and permanent support of Wild Atlantic Salmon Conservation. FCAS is a registered charitable organization incorporated as a non-profit organization under the Canada Corporations Act.

The Nova Scotia Salmon Association (NSSA) represents the interests of over 25 river associations and their members, and the regional council of the Atlantic Salmon Federation.

The New Brunswick Salmon Council (NBSC) is a non-profit, volunteer based organization, dedicated to the protecting wild Atlantic salmon and supporting the restoration and enhancement activity on all watersheds in New Brunswick
