The white sturgeon (Acipenser transmontanus) is the largest freshwater fish native to North America. Their armor-plated bodies can reach 20 feet in length and weigh over 1500 lbs. White sturgeon can live to be more than 100 years of age.
These enormous fish also known as the Pacific sturgeon, Oregon sturgeon, Columbia sturgeon, Sacramento sturgeon, and California white sturgeon.
