Nebraska Bow Fishing Records Set
For 2011, four new archery (bowfishing) entries have been added to the state fishing record book by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
Josh Adamson set an archery record with a 3-pound, 7-ounce European rudd, taken in Box Butte Reservoir on May 6.
Mark Shafer set a surface spearfishing record with a 25-pound, 10-ounce common carp, taken in Box Butte Reservoir on May 8.
Michael Holly set an archery record with a 79-pound, 6-ounce bighead carp, taken in the Missouri River in Cedar County on May 10.
James M. Watson set an archery record with a 38-pound, 10-ounce silver carp, taken in a Sarpy County sandpit on May 23.
