The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries has declared the weekend of June 3-5, 2011 to be free fishing days in freshwater areas of the state, except in designated stocked trout waters.
Virginia’s wide range of fishing habitats include coldwater streams, lakes, reservoirs, farm ponds, tidal creeks, rivers and other impoundments.
